Former London Mayor Ed Holder Joins Foundation Capital as Strategic Advisor
Brings civic leadership and housing-policy expertise to support development and affordable housing initiatives across Southwestern Ontario
LONDON, ON — May 21, 2026 — Foundation Capital today announced that the Honourable Ed Holder, former Mayor of the City of London, has joined the firm as a Strategic Advisor. Mr. Holder will advise on Foundation Capital’s growing development activity and on its expanding efforts to address the region’s affordable housing shortage.
Mr. Holder served as Mayor of London from 2018 to 2022 and previously represented London West as a Member of Parliament, including as Federal Minister of Science & Technology. His tenure was marked by a focus on housing, economic development, and city-building — priorities that align closely with Foundation Capital’s mandate as a real estate investor, developer, and fund manager operating across Southwestern Ontario.
In his advisory role, Mr. Holder will provide guidance across Foundation Capital’s investment and development platform — including its active development projects and its work to bring more attainable housing to the region in partnership with mission-aligned community organizations.
